Roaring 20's Union Banquet

This year's Local 3590 banquet was a Roaring 20's theme. I was enlisted to make the invitations and center pieces. At the end of the night my husband took home the Brotherhood Award. I'm so proud of him.

Invitations

For the center pieces I collected a bunch of wine bottles, painted them black and bought gold glitter spray paint to give them an ombre look

added some feathers and pearls and voila!

I'm about 5 months pregnant in this photo

Bats, monsters, and ghosts

OH MY!! One of my favorite holidays is Halloween and I just love making treats. This year my daughter helped me make these cute little creatures.

We used the Cricut to make the monsters and stuffed them with Skittles but you can use any small candy

These I drew and cut by hand

and we made little ones for my daughter's classmates at school. They were a big hit!

Wizard of Oz Print

I was approached about making a print for a baby nursery that was Wizard of Oz theme. I was told the mother-to-be's favorite quote and the rest was up to me. I'm really happy with how it turned out and only hope the mother loves it to!

A little monkey is turning one

Got an order out of New Jersey for these cute monkey invites for someone special's 1st birthday.

Invitations

"I am 1" banner

Table tents and water bottle labels

Cheers to 30!

My sister threw a 30th birthday party for her husband. The theme-BEER Tasting! It was so much fun and everyone really seemed to enjoyed themselves. Everything was beer themed down to the Blue Moon cupcakes, beer candied bacon and a beer cheese dip

Transportation Parade

My daughter's preschool had a transportation parade this year where each child had to wear some form of transportation and the parents got to help them build it.

My daughter and I searched the web and she decided on her own that she wanted a pink and purple train and that's exactly what she got.

We started by collecting some good size boxes and created the frame

She helped me paint the entire thing in pink paint that we picked up at the local hardware store. I bought purple tape from the craft store which made the striping part way easier than painting them. It was essentially blue painters tape but in purple.

I used a toilet paper roll and paper bowl for the smoke stack

The wheels are just cardboard cut out to circles and painted

I added some cotton balls the day of the parade for the smoke

Baby Minnie Thank You Cards

This cutie just turned one and her grandmother asked me to design some thank you cards for the special occasion.

New employees

We recently got a grant at work which allowed us 12 new positions that were much needed. Because of this we had to do a little shake up causing the 6 supervisors to have new employees under them. I decided to do something cute and special for my new investigators and this is what I came up with. It was a last minute idea so I didn't have time to design anything on the computer (next time).

Back to School Teacher Gift

This year we heard that our teacher and aide loves hand sanitizer so we thought was a better gift than just that. I created this cute little tags with a chalk board and books. One card reads "Because you're going to "touch" so many lives this year" and the other one says "I'm ready to get my hands dirty"

and because I never posted these pics at the end of last year's school year

We gave one to each one of Bella's classmates. All you need is a package of Kool-aide and a cute straw. I made tags with the kid's names and it says "Have a Kool Summer"

Save the Date

I'm not sure if I have mentioned this already but I'm planning a relative's wedding. It will be March 2015 at the Ritz Carlton Grand Lakes, Orlando. The Save the Dates have been sent out and we are full speed ahead now. I will keep you posted as we go along.

Non Gender Mickey Mouse Baby Shower

Friends of ours have become foster parents after 6 months of classes, mounds of paperwork and multiple background checks. Before getting their certificate though, they were given a baby shower themed after their favorite mouse

Here is the package that can be personalized to suit your party's needs

Let's Get Loud!

One of my dear friend's little girl turned one a couple weeks ago. They celebrated last weekend during their family's reunion in Illinois. When she came to me with this "Let's Get Loud" theme all I could think about was Jennifer Lopez's song. I couldn't get it out of my head. My friend's daughter loves music and playing instruments so they wanted to incorporate that into her party.

Here is her invite that she emailed out to the family attending the reunion

I love when people send me pictures of their parties. Here are a few of the pics they sent me.

How cute is this princess?!

Teacher Subway Art

I struggled with what to get my daughter's teacher for an end of the year gift. I spoke with my sister who is a teacher and she said they never get enough thanks or hear about what they have given to the children. She said she likes to receive the praise. So that's when I came up with this idea. I just thought of all the things that came to mind when I thought of Ms. Penny and put them down in a modern, creative way.
