Roaring 20's Union Banquet

This year's Local 3590 banquet was a Roaring 20's theme. I was enlisted to make the invitations and center pieces. At the end of the night my husband took home the Brotherhood Award. I'm so proud of him.

Invitations

For the center pieces I collected a bunch of wine bottles, painted them black and bought gold glitter spray paint to give them an ombre look

added some feathers and pearls and voila!

I'm about 5 months pregnant in this photo

    4. I bought the plates at Michaels but I have seen them at JoAnn's and Hobby Lobby as well. They came that gold color but I would assume you could spray they if you wanted.

  9. love these! doing something similar for my engagement party. wondering how you kept the feathers sticking in? did you use a bouquet holder or anything? my feathers are sort of flopping into the bottle but I'm worried a bouquet holder would be super visible.

  10. To be honest I don't remember. I know for sure that I didn't use a bouquet holder. I spray painted the bottles so now matter what I would have done it wouldn't have been seen. I'm sorry I couldn't provide more help

  11. I love the bottles and going to make 9 of them for my Gatsby themed 70th birthday party in Jan. Everyone will be dressed to the 9's. Did you use a flat black spray paint? Where did you purchase the glitter paint?

  12. I used a black acrylic paint that I used a brush to paint on all the bottles first. Then I found a gold glitter spray paint at Joann fabrics.
